IPAS PARTNERS are looking on behalf of our Client, for an Angolan national Subsea Workshop Mechanic to work in Luanda, Angola.

The objective of the job is to ensure mechanical maintenance under the supervisor's guidance.

 

The JOB will consist of the following mechanical maintenance tasks:

 ·      Ensure mechanical maintenance in the workshop under his/her supervisor's guidance.

·        Ensure that facilities and equipments are correctly operated and report any deviations to his/her supervisor.

·        Ensure that equipment is used and stored correctly to prevent unnecessary loss or damage.

·        Prepare planned maintenance orders efficiently and prepare the necessary components and tools.

·        Assess equipment failures to determine underlying causes and develop action plans to quickly restore equipment operating conditions.

·       Carry out planned and unplanned maintenance tasks on static and non-static equipment.

·        Install safety valves.

·        Correct lubricant levels and replace bearings, belts and other components susceptible to wear and tear.

 

Specific activities:

Participate in assembling, testing, installation, start-up, operation, maintenance and repairs of systems and equipment which is utilised in connection with Subsea Operations

·        Ensure that work is executed in accordance with current procedures

·        Report deviations and damages, including unwanted incidents

·        Ensure that work is executed in a safe and responsible manner

·        Maintain workshop tidy and representable

·        Collaborate with other workshop personnel and workshop management, including hire-in personnel

·        Collaborate with other overseas offices and local customers

·        Have a significant demand for initiative, flexibility and cooperation skills

·        Work in conformity with relevant Environmental

·        Management and Quality Management System


Profil

PROFILE:

Degree from a Technical Institute
Certificate of Apprenticeship in mechanics

A minimum of 3 to 5 years' work experience in a similar position in the mechanical industry
Fluent in English
User-level IT skills

Good knowledge of mechanics and mechanical maintenance
Good knowledge of electrically operated hydro-mechanical devices
Ability to read technical drawings
Experience in the processes and equipments to be used
Knowledge and understanding of the facilities and equipments
Knowledge of personal protective equipment (PPE)
Ability to prepare tools and maintenance operations

Team-player, systematic & attentive to detail
